The combination of Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazideis mainly used for the treatment of hypertension. New spectrophotometric methods have been developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide in pharmaceutical formulations (Tablets) by two methods i.e. simultaneous equation method and absorbance ratio method (Q?analysis) in phosphate buffer (pH 7.5). Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide have shown linearity over the concentration range 5-35 μg/ml and 0.2-40 μg/ml in both the methods.
